Doing so can help when issues like that pop up. Then the manufacturer's website should have a BIOS update for your model of computer, and hopefully an audio driver as well.

Then you just run the programs after downloading them and restart, and it's possible either of them could fix your issue. Going back to older version works. But also, if you have bit machine, use the bit download, not the bit. That also corrects the problem for me. Zoom Community.

Zoom distorted audio download.Zoom Audio Distorted? Find Your Solutions for Zoom Audio Issue

Hi Guys Please can you help me? When using zoom I regularly get the audio breaking up, where sounds goes glitchy. Others on the call tell me the sound is breaking up. In the end I have to leave the call as it causes issues for everyone else. Skype and Teams work fine. When the issue happens I sometimes get a 'low resources' message. I have also looked at the processes that start at startup and have minimised this to just 2.

I have updated my audio driver and installed all the Windows updates for Windows I have also updated my zoom client to the latest version. I notice that the issue is much worse when the laptop is powered from the mains. I have tried running Task Manager to spot which process runs when the sounds breaks up, but it is impossible to see. I also note that when the power supply is attached, the number of processes increases slightly, again, i can't see which processes are added.

Please help, as I'm so frustrated that even though I have a new laptop I can't use zoom to connect with friends and relatives during this covid lockdown time. As I say, other video conferencing facilities work fine, issue is just with Zoom. Many thanks. This thread is locked. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for the response. Unfortunately the issue of glitching sound only affects my laptop. It doesn't matter whether there are just two of us on the zoom, or ten. The same thing happens. I've tried different times of the day, still the same.

Same issue for me and I'm a teacher! It broke up my classroom twice today. This happens on two different laptops both with the Zoom requirements fully met and running Windows 8. This happens in meetings of multiple sizes and I'm hearing from my students that a few of them have the same issue. It happens when I log in directly from their website, use our in-school login or use the Zoom app. It began after the June 1 updates. I never had that error message prior to that, even though we've been using Zoom since mid-March.

Just one thing I've been trying which seems to have worked so far is to run the laptop just off battery power when using zoom. Interestingly, the issue only happens with the power supply connected. Just thought I'd share in case it helps you out temporarily until we can work out a permanent fix. I am having this very same issue and it only began after investing into a brand new Lenovo laptap with intel core i5 8th Gen.

My old laptop was a Core i3 and no problems with Zoom. I am an online teacher and this is really making things difficult. I use Zoom and powerpoints and videos. NEVER a problem until using the new laptop. So weird! I love my laptop because it so much faster and smoother with all other apps and platforms except Zoom :.

I am happy that I'm not alone. Let's see how that goes. Unfortunately I haven't found a permanent fix to this yet. There MUST be something underlying causing this issue, but no-one seems to be able to help. I even raised this as an issue with the zoom team, but they are prioritising support for their paid-service customers, so closed my issue immediately. The only thing that has worked for me is using zoom with the power supply cable disconnected.

Not ideal, but it seems to work for short term zoom calls. Really hoping someone can come up with a permanent fix for this too, as it is just so frustrating! I totally sympathise with you. PS - we also bought two other similar slightly lower spec HP Pavilion laptops at the same time as my one for our twin daughters and they work fine, which leads me to think this is something specific to the model we have Hello, all -- I have had this same issue and found another article addressing this and here is the link.

I followed the instructions and it seemed to improve but today while teaching through Zoom I still had to unplug the power cable and run off battery. Take care in the classroom. Wendy L I love my laptop because it so much faster and smoother with all other apps and platforms except Zoom : I am happy that I'm not alone. Did you have any luck getting a resolution to this. I too have a new HP Pavilion Laptop and it wasn't cheap and this is really frustrating.

I keep having to use my daughter's Ipad or Macbook instead which shows there is nothing wrong with bandwith etc as these work perfectly - beginning to wish I had bought Apple.

Brown Owl In reply to JillJackson3's post on July 6, The only solution i have founfd is to remive the power cabke ans run in battery , not ideal when i have 3meetings one after the other! Hi Jill Unfortunately I haven't found a permanent fix to this yet. Hope that helps.
